Epic Car Rental – Terms & Conditions

By renting a vehicle from Epic Car Rental, you (“the Renter”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement between the Renter and Epic Car Rental.

1. Minimum Rental Period

All rentals are subject to a minimum rental period of three (3) days. Rentals for periods shorter than three days are not permitted.

2. Reservations & Advance Booking

Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the intended pickup time to guarantee vehicle availability. Epic Car Rental does not guarantee availability for same-day or last-minute bookings.

3. Pickup & Drop-off Hours

Epic Car Rental does not offer after-hours drop-offs. Vehicles must be returned during normal business hours unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the rental.

4. Driver Age Requirements

The primary renter and all additional drivers must be:

  • At least 23 years old, and

  • Not older than 75 years at the time of rental.

Valid identification and proof of age are required.

5. Driver’s License Requirements

Epic Car Rental accepts:

  • Valid United States, Canadian, and International driver’s licenses.

If the driver’s license is not written in the Roman alphabet, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required and must be presented together with the original domestic driver’s license.

6. Additional Drivers
  • One (1) additional driver is included at no extra cost.

  • A second additional driver may be added for USD $10.00 per day.

  • A maximum of two (2) additional drivers is allowed per rental.

  • All additional drivers must meet age and license requirements and be registered on the rental agreement.

7. Payment Methods, Deposits & Insurance

Epic Car Rental accepts major credit cards and debit cards.

Credit Cards & Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Certain credit cards may provide Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage, including:

  • Mastercard World

  • Mastercard Business (USA)

  • Mastercard Platinum & Gold (Canada)

  • Visa Platinum & Visa Gold

Other major credit cards may also provide CDW coverage. The Renter is responsible for confirming coverage directly with their card provider.

Mandatory Third-Party Insurance

Mandatory Third-Party Insurance is required for all rentals.
This insurance provides coverage for liability involving damage or injury to third parties and must be purchased or confirmed before the vehicle is released.

8. Debit Card Policy

Debit cards are accepted for payment. However:

  • The deposit must be made using a credit card.

  • The credit card holder must be present at the time of rental.

  • The name on the credit card must match the primary renter.

9. Full Coverage Insurance

Full Coverage Insurance, where purchased, provides protection against most damages except:

  • Tire damage

  • Rim damage

  • Windscreen damage

  • Lost or damaged keys

  • Damage resulting from reckless or careless driving

  • Damage occurring while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

All excluded damages remain the responsibility of the Renter.

10. Renter Responsibilities

The Renter agrees to:

  • Operate the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with all laws

  • Not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Return the vehicle in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted

  • Be financially responsible for any damage not covered by insurance

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this rental agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). By renting from Epic Car Rental, the Renter agrees to waive the right to court litigation.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Jamaica.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By signing the rental agreement or completing a booking with Epic Car Rental, the Renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
